Goma-gara
The goma-gara (sesame) is a relatively simple design that presents a very attractive shape around the mitsu-kude joint. The structure is similar to the square goma-gara, and results in the same symmetrical six-pointed star (sesame flower) in the middle.
The pieces forming the triangle must be equidistant from and parallel to the respective jigumi kumiko otherwise the pattern won't form a visually appealing flower shape in the middle.
